a good while, since she was younger at least. the soundproof walls and the dim lighting is new to her, but the music and song selection isn't foreign. still, she was surprised when the man decided to suggest that they spend a little bit of time here. [break][break]

moving across the couch, she glances over his shoulder to take a gander at the menu. it was the usual snacks and such, though it was to be expected. "hm.." she hums, then tilting her head to lean against his shoulder "in that case, we can also take a look at what music they have on the list, here?~" even though she imagines that they have a way to search the web, any how.

Although he hadn’t averted his gaze from the menu he’d held, he couldn’t help but grow faintly amuse at the specks of movement’s he’d seen from the corner of his eye as she shifted closer (lucky as he was that she happened to be on his good side). The aforementioned amusement only seemed to grow more at the touch of her head upon him, and he simply tilted his head towards her to rest his own against her in instinctive response.[break][break]

”You don’t want to place a couple of orders first, though~?” he hummed, raising a brow as he glanced towards her from the corner of his eye at long last. ”A song selection would only take a minute or so, no? It’d take a little while for them to prepare food and the like…”

"ahh.. alright~" if he insists, though she'll admit that she's not all too hungry. the woman peeks over to get a better look at the menu, perusing the snacks to the meals that the establishment had to offer. though truthfully.. nothing catches too much of her fancy. "maybe i'll order some spicy wings~. they look pretty good, here~" she smiles, reaching over to turn the menu page.[break][break]

"if they serve alcohol, maybe we can order some shots, too~. i heard that drinking games were fun in karaoke~" and it's not like their home was too far from here, anyways.

”Hm~... I was eying the wings, myself…” An absentminded murmur to say the least, though he seemed to inherit some semblance of further awareness once more as her hand crossed the page. He leaned back slightly to help her reach, glancing towards her from the corner of his eye all the while. ”I did see that they had cocktail shrimp, too… I might just get an order of that…”[break][break]

He hummed, pondering the latter parts of her words with a smile.[break][break]

”I’d also be fine with a few shots~...” he hummed, although crossed his arms while leaning back into the lounge couch behind them with an amused smile. ”I worry what may happen if we drink a little too much, though.”

when he leans back against the couch, she leans against him, instinctively. "i think it should be alright~" the smile reaches her eyes, and she starts to burrow the side of her face between his arm and his chest. she's as needy as a skitty. "push come to shove, we can call a taxi and go home? this place isn't too far of a walk, anyways~"

A soft and faint sigh of faux exasperation left his lips in response to her words, all while he shifted his arm to welcome her closer. It draped itself over her shoulders, his hand resting upon the one closest to him and rubbing it absentmindedly as he rested the side of his face against her head.[break][break]

”...If you say so~...” he hummed lowly, his gaze continuous upon the screen before them as he paused to place a quick peck stop her head. Following that, he perked up slightly as the sight of a certain song caught his attention.[break][break]

”Ah— what about that one, amore~? Do you know it?”

her ears perk up when he puts on the preview, and a "yes, i recognize it" comes from her lips as she peeks from within his chest. "a classic, isn't it? i listened to it a lot when i was younger~" though she doesn't mind the upbeat music that's arise in this time and generation, she'll always find herself gravitating back to the older, slower and simply paced music. [break][break]

she reaches for the tablet on the table, taking a glance at its workings - ah, this place was rather high tech, wasn't it? laying the menu on the screen for them to pick and add, then have the food delivered. "how convenient~.." the woman hums, picking out the food, then ultimately added in the drinks. "and you said a cocktail shrimp, right?"

He gave a hum and nod in approval while properly selecting the aforementioned song, watching and listening as the lyrics began to filter upon the screen amidst the loading sights of scenery behind them. The beginnings of a familiar tune met his ears as a sense of nostalgia (a kind that he truthfully still pondered the roots of), he reached over to take both of the microphones they were to use.[break][break]

He held one over to her while noting her words and leaning over to glance at the tablet.[break][break]

”Ah, yes— I did~.” Another, chuckling hum escaped his lips as he nudged her gently, nodding towards the television screen some ways away. ”I’d advise being quick, though, amore,” he added with a playful tone. ”It’d be a shame for our score to go down because you didn’t join in time~.”

he's amused, which is good. honestly, she didn't know how he would take a date at a karaoke bar, especially considering that.. neither of them would be the type to go belting out in a room. still, there's some fun in listening to the other person sing, and even more fun when they can sing together - especially over a nice meal. [break][break]

"ah! just a moment!" the woman perks up, hastily tapping upon the screen to lock in their order before reaching to the other microphone, taking it in her hands, and looking up to the television as the lyrics began to count down.
